Good Dog! Board & Train

Discover our specialized training services at Good Dog! Cozy Cottage & Spa. We offer a range of professional dog training packages designed to meet the unique needs of your furry friends, ensuring they are well-behaved, happy, and healthy.

During camp, your dog stays at our facility for the duration of their training. This allows for consistency in training and gives us opportunities to proactively set up real-life distractions to work around. All of our training packages come with FREE LIFETIME TRAINING whenever you board your dog with us.  That means that your dog will receive free training at no extra cost while you’re away! We put a lot of time and love into each dog and it is important to us that they continue to do well for the rest of their lives.

We understand that training can be a big investment. But we also see the value of investing in important things. To help lessen a financial hardship, we only require half of the cost of training at the time of booking. The balance is then due during the "going home" lesson at the end of training.

Frequently asked questions

I have a puppy, is it too young?

A puppy is never too young to start learning. We take puppies as young as 4 months old. Our taining program ensures your young dog learns essential skills in a positive and nurturing environment. With the guidance of our experienced trainer, your puppy will build the foundation for a well-behaved adult dog, making your life and your pet's life more enjoyable.

Where does my dog stay while at camp?

Your dog will stay in the trainer’s home during the entire duration of your training. This environment is less stressful for the dog and more realistic

I'm planning a vacation and need to board my dog. Is the board & train a good solution for my dog while I'm away?

Absolutely! Individuals and families very frequently choose to use a board & train camp while they go on vacation. They simply feel better knowing that their dog is having fun, improving manners and obedience, or getting help with a behavioral problem, rather than just sitting in a kennel at a regular boarding facility.

All you need to pack is enough food for the duration of your dog’s stay. You do not need to send toys, cookies (unless on a special diet), blankets/beds, or kennels. Your trainer will have everything your dog needs for their stay.

Will I receive updates while my dog is at camp?

Our trainer will send report cards several times a week through the portal. It will have information on what they are focusing on, their mood, how much they ate at each meal and anything else your trainer feels is important to pass along. At the beginning of your training, you will receive an email with a Youtube playlist link. This is where your trainer will add progress videos (approx. 2 a week) throughout their stay.

Will my dog lose their personality when they attend camp?

This is one of the most common questions we receive before a dog enters training, and if you are feeling this, we understand your concern.  We will not change your dog’s personality.  Instead we will make them more confident by establishing clear communication and boundaries, which will allow their personality to come out for you.   At the same time they’ll become more obedient, happy, and controllable.
